Done Gone Long...

I finished the 70.3 today in just under 5 hours and 45 minutes. The swim was peaceful, the bike a bit uncomfotable, and the run was pretty painful. I just took my feet out of a tub of ice and there is a brew next to me on the table. It was a great event and a great day. I am so tired that I had to pass on a party this evening...yes, it's true. I'll have more to say about the events of the day after I get some rest and regain my wits.

Awesome first Half Ironman! Way to finish strong on a tough run course. We lucked out with perfect August race weather.

Thanks you guys!!!

Janet, I'm glad that run wasn't even one half mile longer or you would've caught me ;-)

Jen, It was good to "meet" you too. Was I really smiling?? Maybe it was because you guys were at the 1/2 way point and the finish?? It was great seeing you and Matt out there willing me on and refreshing me with H20!!

Julia, Thanks again to you and Paul for the ride, hangin' out while I regained bodily function, and of course the post race feast and beer!!

Once the splits are posted online I'll recap the day.

High five on an awesome race! Check out the splits (if you haven't already).

That's quite the amazing feat, and I'm glad you had a nice day for it. I'm sure you whizzed by me on the cycling and I was totally cheering you on ;-)

I can't wait to hear your race report. Many congrats: you're awesome!
